While I respect rugby, the average NFL player is simply bigger, faster, and stronger than the average rugby player (although I'm sure rugby players would have the endurance advantage).
The hits in rugby, while brutal at times, are nowhere near as big as those in the NFL, if for no other reason than the aforementioned size difference and the protection the NFL players wear. Two 280lb men who run 4.4 40's hitting each other head on while running full tilt is a helluva train wreck.
No, it's not. It's like when children get into fights at school.
It LOOKS impressive, but it's pathetic.
And they're not bigger, they 'roid monkey f*ktards. Rugby players work for their build, and they are getting bigger and bigger to outdo each other.
Besides which, rugby isn't about trying to make yourself look impressive by crashing into other girly-armoured f*ktards, it's about the actual skill.
Umm, let's see, excitement...hot cheerleaders...the Super Bowl...tailgating...no femmy short-shorts...a decided lack of Euros flopping around, faking injuries...the simple fact that it isn't soccer...should I go on?
You know, lol, you ameri***s are just as *** at soccer as you are your own ***ty sport. you ***s can't play it for ***, hence brilliant failure in world cups you might as well stay out, really. hide away in your own country where no one else has to see your migrating sports fans
There are 3 certaintiees in life: Death, taxes and that any discussion of any code of football on the internet is liable to degenerate into an all-out flame war between fundamentalists who hate any code other than their personal favourite.
