Air France Flight 296: Oh Captain Asseline must of felt bad after crashing this newly delivered Airbus A320-111 (F-GFKC) back on June 26, 1988 as part of a demonstration fly over at the Mulhouse-Habsheim Airport Air Show. Even more so that this demostration flight had passengers on it... well that will never occur again after 3 fatalities
Poor take off, slight miscalculations can create huge loss
It wasn't a takeoff though.. It was a demonstration fly-by for the new Airbus A320. It was found that
"Very low flyover height, lower than surrounding obstacles;
Speed very slow and reducing to reach maximum possible angle of attack;
Engines speed at flight idle; and
Late application of go-around power."
Caused the crash
