No the shockwave wouldn't knock them down, Its strong don't get me wrong, but not THAT strong. It looked like an Afghan wall charge, and the Kevlars (helmets) don't provide any ear protection, but they probably had ear plugs in.

i'd assume that the helmets provide sufficient ear protection, or that they're wearing earplugs. and it depends on how far you are from the shockwave. if the shockwave is not in contact with you for long, then it might just give you a jolt or a nudge or something.
