Did it ever occur to anybody that just maybe this is a problem lion? Sometimes a rogue lion(this looks like a young male) will hunt people because it's easiest. It could also be hunters. We don't know so don't be so quick to judge.

I did notice the right hind leg is quite injured. It could have been new or it could have been an old festering thing. Injured lions are prone to aggressiveness.

Did it ever occur to you that because of humans increasing their numbers insanely and DESTROYING the natural habitat of these animals, that they have less food to eat and less area to roam WITHOUT human interference?
