I don't think this is an MRI. I've seen this before, and if I'm correct, these are actually photographs taken of a body as it was sliced. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/visible/visible_human.html

No, you're all dumb, I work with MRI software all day. This is in fact an MRI. When you're viewing MRI images like this, each image is called a "slice". It's how MRI imaging works.

This is not an MRI, these are actual pictures of a frozen body as it was ground in axial slices 1mm thick. Each section was destructively removed in the grinding process. MRI are non-invasive imaging technique that look totally different. This guy was long dead when these pictures were taken, and MRI on dead people doesn't work as well anyway because of the shift in water balances, on which MRI depends.

MRI's are also not in colour. You can see red organs and so on as it goes through the torso in this gif.
