Jon, you're an idiot. That's an old bridge that wasn't built properly and the wind was so rough, but the architects forgot to put the wind speed variable into building it, that it literally contorted it and shook it until it broke. Look it up. Bridge oscillation. I believe this is the one in Tacoma.

Tacoma Narrows nicknamed "Galloping Gertie" in Tacoma, WA. Fell apart due to high winds in 11/1940.
