Those are C-130 cargo planes they are releasing an anti heat seeking missle defense system called Chafe. It is basically a large group of hot burning flares with metallic bodies that lure the missile such as fired from a stinger system to the flares and hopefully causing the missile to detonate and save the plane and those aboard it. We used them in Iraq and Afghanistan quite frequently.
Check out the smoke trails that it leaves in the back ground... i guess that's why it's called an Angel
While in flight to a destination I don't think the weaponry would be deployed. It would create unnecessary drag and slow down the craft if it has a bunch of unwieldy bits sticking out.
hard to tell, unless you got a clearer version of this, then as far as i can tell it's a C-130 transport plane, cause i cant see any weaponry on the starboard side of either one
